About:
This folder contains pre-determined lens correction factors you can use in LensFix for correcting lens distortion in many popular cameras. Some of the correction factors include different settings for each color channel. This is how LensFix fixes chromatic aberration (color fringing). By adjusting the red, green and blue color layers individually, they can be re-aligned in the final image. In general, most of the color fringing data is only available for Nikon SLR lenses.
Installing and using the databases:
Copy the lens database files to the user Library/Application Support/PTMac folder. The databases can then be loaded via the Load Lens Database button within the LensFix plug-in.
Note: Fixed focal length lenses are grouped into the Prime databases for SLR cameras.

Note: The Sigma 8mm settings are universal to all cameras provided the image is prepared by cropping the image to top and bottom of the image circle then adding canvas to make the image square. This is the only setting that requires image preparation before applying the plug-in.
