PTBatch Calico

Calico 1.4 (1.7 MB disk image) Updates include changes to make Calico 1.4 compatible with Leopard (OS X.5). The updates were only necessary for Intel Macs.

Making panoramas couldn't be easier. Load your images, press align to make a preview, adjust the crop as you like and make the panorama. Making panoramas couldn't be easier. Calico supports multi-row panoramas, 16 bit input and output inlcuding TIFF, and single and layered PSD and PSB output (8 and 16 bit) and has a new cropping tool so you can set the area of the panorama. Please report bugs in the forum or on the new Kekus Google group here.

Calico 1.3 (1.8 MB disk image). Known stable version but has some incompatabilites with Intel based Macs running Leopard (OS X.5).

PTMac PTMac is available for OS X and Classic Mac OS

PTMac for OS X version 4.1 is a 3.7 MB disk image. If your browser displayes a string of characters, hold the Control key when clicking on the link and select "download link" from the options. Important note: This version requires you to re-enter your registration information if you have an old PTMac 3 or older key. PTMac 4 is a $20 upgrade for users with keys older one year.

PTMac for Classic Mac version 2.0 a 2.4 MB Stuffit file. Runs on OS 8.6 to 9.x. Development for Classic Mac stopped some time ago and this version is not as advanced as the version for OS X. In addition, Enblend is not available for Mac Classic so I strongly advise users to upgrade to OS X if at all possible.

Notes:
PTMac has a 15-day full feature trial period. All downloads include a version of the PanoTools library for OS X or classic Mac OS. Be sure to follow the installation instructions included in each download.

Classic OS only - If you are making large panoramas (file size more than 50mb), you may need to increase the memory allocated to PTStitcher. This is done by selecting PTStitcher, then 'command + i' and increase memory.

Fisheye lens re-mapping is limited to 160 degrees or less in the PanoTools library (pano12.lib or panotools.bundle) included with each download. See the PTMac support page for more information on this topic.

Bonus applications:
Nona external stitcher for creating very large panoramas for OS X only. Download is a 1.1 MB disk image (Dec 2005 version).

fovCalculator 1.03 OS X only. A 120 KB disk image.

PTBatch PTBatch

PTBatch 2.1 (v25) For batch processing panoramas on OS X. You need PTMac projects to use PTBatch. Download is a 1.6 MB disk image.

Pligins LensFix CI

LensFix CI version 4.3 (build 42) is a 7.7 MB disk image. Changes include:

  • Includes a beta plug-in for Apple's Aperture program. The new version operates as an plug-in in Aperture instead of an 'external editor'.
  • Updated the LensFix database.

Recent changes include:

  • Any RGB layer can be selected and corrected. You are no longer limited to adjusting the base locked layer.
  • Improved automatic lens selection.
  • Improved 16 bit support in the plug-in version. LensFix is now 16 bit start to end in the Photoshop plug-in. You may not have noticed the difference in your images but your histogram will be smoother.
  • The stand alone version supports 16 bit tiff output.
  • Fixed Photoshop crash when run using Photoshop's Last Filter command.
  • Fixed Photoshop crash when batch processing Ricoh camera images.
  • The help file now works in the application and is also available in the plug-in.

Important notes:

  • IMPORTANT: The stand-alone version of LensFix allows you to overwrite your source image. Note that prior to registering, the saved image will be watermarked so your original image can be overwritten with a watermarked image. Only use LensFix in trial mode on copies of your images.
  • IMPORTANT: The way LensFix matches lenses is different than in early versions of LensFix. In this version, LensFix relies more on the lenses stored in the preferences and then searches the general database for matches. Previously, the lenses stored in the database were always updated with the most recent lenses used. Now the user sets the lenses they own from those in the database and those are searched first. See the Important Readme!!!! included in the download for more details. This change will help those who use third party lenses on SLR cameras (e.g. using a Sigma lens on a Nikon camera, etc.) The bug where entire sections are missing on some video cards is a fundemental Core Image but that needs to be fixed at the operating system level (i.e. we have to wait for Apple to fix Core Image in OS X). We are working with Apple on a fix.

Pligins Panotools plug-ins

Panotools plug-ins for CS3 on OS X Universal binary 3.5 MB disk image - This version of the plug-ins is compatible with Photoshop CS3 and later on OS X.4 and later. As a universal binary, you no longer need to run Photoshop CS3 in Rosetta mode if you have an Intel based Mac. As before, these plug-ins are fully scriptable. If your LensFix/Panotools license is older than December 2006, you will need to purchase a new license to run these plug-ins beyond the 15 day trial.

Panotools plug-ins for CS2 on OS X version 3.0.5 is a 3.7 MB disk image.

Old (pre LensFix CI) LensFix databases (388 KB zip file). The plug-in download above includes the most recent settings distortion correction settings for the older version of LensFix. Most of these lenses are included in the database built into LensFix CI.

PTBatch XBlend for OS X

XBlend is donationware. If you find XBlend useful and don't own one of our products, your donation is appreciated. If own one of our products and want to donate anyway... Great!

Notes:
XBlend is a front end for Enblend. Enblend is now accessed directly from PTMac and PTBatch so XBlend is not needed in most instances. If you are using Enblend from within PTMac or PTBatch, only download the appropriate Enblend version. Download Enblend 1.3x for most uses. Download Enblend 2.x if you are creating very large panoramas using the Nona stitcher.

Using:
First download Enblend
Notes:
OS X.4+ Enblend 1.3+RJP20060219 (1.8MB) 32/64 bit app for extra speed
OS X.2+ Enblend 1.3+RJP200504420 (800KB) 32 bit application
OS X.2+ Enblend 2.5 (1 MB) If sitching using Nona (slow)
OS X.4+? Enblend 3.0 (2.3 MB) Universal

Download XBlend
(if needed)
Enblend 1.3 XBlend 1.3 (364KB) Improved for large files

If you have a dual processor Mac and are using Enblend 2.x, also download

PBlend 1.0 (268 KB zipped disk image)
PBlend (from Rob Platt) is a program that will launch multiple copies of Enblend to blend your panorama in sections. Since Enblend 1.2 is not multi-processor aware, using PBlend effectively uses both of your processors if you have a dual processor Macintosh. PBlend is useful only on dual processor Macs and for Enblend 2.x. Enblend 1.3 is already multi-processor optimized.
